Margin and paragraph questions regarding Word
Chelsea
Hello,
When formatting an exercise for my potential job, I need to indent the first line of a new paragraph to 0.5 inches. No problem, just press Tab, right? Well, when I did that, the person reviewing my work said the margins got all messed up. When I did an insert F, things sounded normal, though. Also, how do I get everything moved over to the left in a document? When I do an Insert F on another document I'm working on, it says left indent of 1 inches. It's only part of the file, but I want to select the whole thing to make it universal. I tried, but MS Word crashes. It's a big file. Could that be a problem? And what's the difference between justified and left anyhow? Thanks, Chelsea |

On Behalf Of David Goldfield ? Sarah, thanks for asking. This is definitely on my list of things to do for this group. I'll either use the group wiki or dedicate some space on my Web site for this. I'm already collecting various items as they come through on this list and they will definitely be archived. Automatically adding previously used addresses to the address book in Outlook2016
Geetha Shamanna
Hi all,
Unlike Outlook Express, MS Outlook does not automatically add previously used addresses to the address book. IN Outlook2016, is there a setting that one can configure in order to get Outlook to do so? All the previously used addresses otherwise disappear when one migrates an email account and the corresponding .PST file to another computer. Many thanks. Geetha |
Re: Navigating by Section
开云体育hi, this is very interesting information. i can say that with jaws you can use the quick keys to navigate1. press insert plus z to activate quick keys mode. 2. press the letter s to go to the next section or shift plus s to go to the previous section. : Negoslav Sabev On Sep 8, 2020, at 07:04, Brian Lee <brianllee@...> wrote:

Re: Addresses autocomplete
When composing a new email message using Outlook, the email addresses that appear below the "To" field after typing in a few letters are previous recipients, not names in your address book.

If you want to use names from your address book when composing a new email message, you must first place focus in the"To" field and then open the address book using the keyboard command ALT plus period. - Brad - On Sep 8, 2020, at 09:38, Christina Brino <princessregal@...> wrote:

The way you describe is exactly how it has functioned for me for quite a while. Once I have entered a few letters of a name that should be recognized, I just arrow down, if there is more than one name in the list of names. For example, if I enter "Jo", the list of names might have Tom Jones, John Smith, Fred Johns, etc. I arrow down the list and hit enter on the one I want. If I arrow down, and there is no name read by JAWS, then there is likely just one option, so I hit tab, then shift+tab to confirm the correct name was put into the "To" field. If there is an easier way to deal with this, it would be great to learn. -----Original Message-----

Help with spell checker in Word please thanks
Hi list
I am currently using Microsoft Office 2016 I think and since the new update in Windows 10 I notice that in Word 2016, whenever I want to check spelling and grammar in a document I've transcribed, it asks me to review all results, read original sentence etc and there seems to be no way to change and change all in case of errors and can't find word suggestions, only definitions and it doesn't say "not in dictionary" as it still does in Outlook 2016 when I press F7, last time this happened, about a year ago after the update, some on another list said there is not much one can do and others said there is but I can't find the answers though I stored them somewhere, I restarted the PC last time and the spell check in Word 2016 went back to normal after three days but hasn't this time, no such hassles in Outlook 2016 though, not sure how to fix it. Thanks. Ricky Lomey |
Re: Navigating by Section
开云体育Hello Mike, ? One thing you can do is use either function key 5 or CTRL with G, type in the letter S followed by the section number you want to go to and then press enter key.? If you use the letter S followed by a plus or minus sign followed by a number you will move by the number of sections you specified.? For example, if you are in section 2 and you press F5 and type in S+3, when you press enter key you will be at the beginning of section 5.? If you are in section 5 and you type S followed by a minus and the number 2 you will be taken to the beginning of section 3 when you press enter key.? ? Take care. ? Brian Lee brianllee@... ? Re: Navigating by Section
开云体育You can do this by using the “Go To” utility in MS Word.Open the Go To dialog using CTRL + G.. Beware that the Go To utility is a floating dialog, that remains open while in use. ?You will need to use CTRL + Tab, to move between the dialog and the document. ?When finished using the Go To utility, return focus to the Go To utility, and close it using CTRL + F4. Re: How to Create Lists in Microsoft word
Thank you Negoslav, you are indeed correct!? I shouldn't try to answer questions late at night.? To be honest, I only ever use * or 1) or 1. or a. to start a list, I never use the shortcut keys so I actually opened Word to check - I pressed control+alt+l first and I admit I was surprised it worked - I assumed Microsoft must have listened to the feedback that it was inconsistent to have a shortcut for bulleted lists but not numbered lists. - I didn't test it enough to realise that it didn't actually create a list, but only numbered the current item (and indeed if you do it after creating a bulleted list, it adds a new bullet rather than a number). Kind regards Quentin. On Tue, Sep 8, 2020 at 3:16 AM Negoslav Sabev <negi4a@...> wrote:
