I have no specific impetus for posting this other than I think it's useful information for the membership to have.? People often want to take a break from a given group, collection of groups, or all groups they're subscribed to, and this is easy to do without unsubscribing from any of them.

How to Suspend and Resume Email Delivery from Groups.io

If you want to take a break for any groups.io group, but think you¡¯ll also come back at some point please do not unsubscribe, but use your group¡¯s ¡°nomail¡± address instead to suspend delivery of groups.io email from a specific group.??The nomail address is always the usual posting address with ¡°+nomail¡± stuck in just before the at sign.??If the posting address is [email protected] then the nomail address is [email protected].? So, for this group the nomail address to suspend delivery of messages is: [email protected]?

When you wish to return, just send a message with +single in the same spot as +nomail and your delivery of single messages will resume.
Doing the above allows you to keep group membership and to not have your first message held for review when you decide you want to start participating again.??If you unsubscribe and resubscribe, you¡¯re treated like a brand new member again.?
