Indeed, not for me either. This has been the case since
approximately early September. They have modified the menus
slightly, so now you need to press Alt plus F, navigate to More
Options, expand that, then go to Account, and finally to Update.
After that, the process remains unchanged. I have repaired Office
to ensure everything is in order, and the process has indeed
changed on my system. Microsoft? Word for Microsoft 365 MSO
(Version 2412 Build 16.0.18324.20092) 64-bit.

are things that any screen reader user needs to

Also there are plenty of times where the screen
reader is just ever so slightly behind schedule to
match up functionality with a published change by
Microsoft.? It's rare, but it happens, and those
lags tend to get fixed pretty promptly if they
effect commonly used features.
