Hi Brian/all, Could it have been so when I inadvertently checked the box for outlook to check for new mail before exiting, something I have unchecked now, thanks to your guidance, but still need f to get new mail come? ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ? ? ? ? The default behavior of Outlook (all versions I've ever dealt with) is to do an immediate Send/Receive when initially opened.? I do not even know of a way to turn that off or on.
? ? ? ? The only reason I can possibly think of why this might be happening, other than corruption in the Outlook install, is if Outlook is in Offline mode as configured on your machine, and that would have to have been intentionally set up, as it's not the default state.
