Ctrl + E is center.? One selects nothing, but just places one's insertion point somewhere in the text one wants centered, and hits Ctrl + E.

This will center all text from where the "chunk" begins until the next hard return (Enter) was hit in the document.? So if you are somewhere in a paragraph that spans lines, the entire paragraph ends up centered.
