Gmail has been compatible with every email client on the planet for literally decades, plural, now.? And automatic configuration with address and password, including looping out to go through Gmail's OAUTH steps, has been the defacto standard
since very shortly after OAUTH became common, in Outlook.? It worked just fine all the way back in Outlook 2016.? I can't swear to 2010 as my memory is too hazy for that one.
