Re: Just want to confirm what I saw in a PWM example ckt
Thanks Andy It¡¯s amazing seeing all this capability! I definitely have had a lot of great assistance today ¡°Corrected¡± by my iPhone

Re: Yet another really basic Q
Thanks for the history I entered the industry in 1977 designing CPUs for Motorola (68K was the first) I did lots of CPU, SRAM, DRAM design up to the mid 90s for Moto, Intel, MIPS and Rambus Then I

Re: Do ADI prefer SiMetrix over LTspice?
Okay maybe I will look at LTspice XVII again then reply? Thanks Andrew

Re: Yet another really basic Q
Not only that, but when you go to the help page for "Super Expert Mode", the title at the top of the page actually is "General Attribute Editor". With some components, right-clicking on the symbol

Re: Just want to confirm what I saw in a PWM example ckt
Richard, As Helmut says, LTspice's Bv and Bi sources are the easiest way to create voltage (or current) sources whose outputs are a mathematical function of other signals. Please read the Help page

Re: Yet another really basic Q
Hello Rick, The name "Super Expert Mode" has been first time used in LTspiceXVII, but not in LTspiceIV. I knew this feature since the beginning of LTspice, but I first time heard about this naming in

Re: Yet another really basic Q
Completely agree Glad you mentioned the reply because it didn¡¯t arrive for me by email... I had to go to the web page to see it. I would have surely missed it otherwise as I seldom read the traffic

Re: Yet another really basic Q
Hey that is exactly what I am seeking Helmut. I usually don't trust "comments" added to schematics to be guaranteed to be updated... I make mistakes in my old age (!) so having a way they are

Re: Just want to confirm what I saw in a PWM example ckt
Hello Richard, You asked abot B-sources (bv, bi). They have to be defined with a formula. The formula can have as many node voltages or curernts you want. Two examples: V = 5 V = 2*V(a) -3*V(ab) +sin

Just want to confirm what I saw in a PWM example ckt
I noticed an example circuit showing a PWM It included a voltage source that creates a waveform defined by a mathematical expression involving two other sources that have nodes inserted into the

Re: Do ADI prefer SiMetrix over LTspice?
Hello, I don't know of any laptop where LTspice wouldn't update. Maybe you have too much security programs/settings on your laptop or something else very specific. I know that LTspiceXVII sometimes

Re: Do ADI prefer SiMetrix over LTspice?
It has certainly not been cut down (whatever that might encompass) in any way.? Why do you think it has? When you say 'won't update', do you mean that you can't request an update, or that update

Re: Do ADI prefer SiMetrix over LTspice?
Thanks for both replies. I did not really want to pursue why LTspice XVII does not work on a couple of old laptops and one comparitively new laptop other than to say the issue was that LTspice,

You can add them as text, using the '/Aa/' icon on the toolbar, but there is no way to have LTspice add them automatically. Best wishes John Woodgate OOO-Own Opinions Only J M Woodgate and Associates

Re: Do ADI prefer SiMetrix over LTspice?
I agree, but it's odd that the OP's portable computer won't run LTspiceXVII. It clearly doesn't happen with tens of thousands of other portables. Best wishes John Woodgate OOO-Own Opinions Only J M
