I'm guessing the waveforms in that plot on page 15 are idealistic, not realistic. It is an internal voltage inside the IC, right?? Chances are it won't be steady, not a straight flat line.? I don't know what drives it, because the figure in the datasheet shows an empty box going to that node.? Is the voltage on the FB/OLP pin steady?? I guess it must be rippled too. Is direct contact okay?
analogspiceman Are you okay to help me out directly based on the simulations you have posted in the LTSpice Group? I would appreciate some help (for now at least) with simulating an actual Current Transformer (CT), starting from e.g. your "CurrentSense.asc" simulation. I do not really want to ask detailed questions relating to our R&D Application in a Public Forum. Thanks and Regards Henry Kafeman Sent from Yahoo Mail. |

Re: course of HOWTO build models like (sanken) STR-A6100
Hi, :
I have done the (sanken) STR-A6100 sub-circuit for test, but this is the first time I do this thing (make spice model of some vendor by myself). I am not sure (not confident) that it's good. file is at: Can someone (familiar with this stuff (power IC, flyback)) provide some suggestions ? In fact, I have many questions that can't be answered ,almostly is the parameters like, charging current (Ix), and FB comparator's divider res, Ishunt gain, etc. But the most significant one is that I had been aware of the waveform of FB comparator's +,- (inverting & non-inverting) , these named "Vocpm" & "Vsc" in the datasheet at page.15. The picture in page.15 shown that the Vsc should be a vertical straight line, but my simulation shows it's rippled, though the output seems a little bit well. I just not sure whether it's right or not, I don't have the answer. Any opinion is appreciating. ? Best regards. |

IF this sale goes through....and IF this acquisition does not become the target of yet another takeover (the
Chinese have been buying lots of American companies...and British/UK companies as of late)...this might be ?good news around here..at least what has been mentioned so far. Click on John's link and see the chart on ?the top 10 chip makers. They still need more microwave capability, per the LT people...with something like the Skyworks positions and cell phone chip sets (and rf industry -- military items)...not the Intel wireless stuff. TI by the way has special patents on Ballistic Millimeterwave and Terahertz devices see: Time will tell, but at least we (and the LTSPICE community) are still on a decent gravy train...nothing like what happened to Microwave Office and ANSOFT. Re: Schottky Diode Models
Bordodynov Thank you for the file LeakShottky.zip That looks better and I think matches the BAR43SFILM "Typical" Specification. It has e.g. 28.13microA Reverse Leakage Current at 30V and 100C. But could you tell me how the values in the model should be changed to match the worst case stated values? - e.g. Maximum Reverse Leakage Current at 30V of 500nanoA at 25C and 100microA at 100C. The Datasheet for the BAR43SFILM is here: Thanks Henry ? Sent from Yahoo Mail. On Thursday, July 28, 2016 7:52 AM, "Александр Бордодынов BordodunovAlex@... [LTspice]" wrote:

Let's hope part of the deal is not that dreaded word rationalization (unlikely it's not!) unfortunately bean counters have a habit of being technically incompetent and like many have said they were rivals and then there is management politics and self interest at work so don't be so sure the result will be positive for this community!

? ?"With any luck they'll create LTspice models for their offerings." Adding a bit more to my previous reply.... LTC's strength is in power conversion products and switchers, which benefit greatly from the special features in LTspice.? ADI's greater strength is in linear parts and converters, for which standard SPICE models work well.? In other words, the special hidden features built into LTspice, might not do as much to improve the models for the vast majority of ADI's parts. This is supposed to be one of the reasons for ADI's interest in LTC -- the fact that LTC's product line doesn't overlap with ADI's. Andy |
