No, it's not AI, just search hits.
I somewhat disagree with what you wrote.

A Google search just gives you search results.? It does not tell you that "'RS latch' is?the?generally accepted term for a set-reset latch."? You can draw your own conclusions and decide that there is a bias in that direction, or you may read some of the results and draw another conclusion; but Google did not say that.
?
So if Google tells you that "'RS latch' is the generally accepted term for a set-reset latch," then it is probably an A.I. saying that.? These days it is difficult to get away from that, since Google wants to jam A.I. down our throats.
?
I get what you're saying that the guy with the biggest numbers can be said to have won.? But winning does not make it right.
?
Also I kind of agree that calling a "set-reset" latch an "RS latch" does not make much logical sense.? :-)? (Don't you just love language?)
?
Regardless, I urge not to simply believe Google or the numbers it reports.? Googling SR (or RS) flip-flop reveals an overwhelming abundance of NAND gate circuits that I would call latches, but which others labeled flip-flops.? Is it truly wrong, or right?? (Where is IEEE or ISO when you need them?)? We can deduce that one is used more commonly, but be careful about claiming 'rightness' because of that.
?
Heck, there are colleges that teach that current flow is in the same direction as electron flow.
