Not really, it is just that other waveforms have to be averaged during the corresponding time intervals. For example during switch ON state the capacitor voltage follows one particular equation so it is necessary to calculate the average of the capacitor voltage during ON state. During OFF state the equation is different so I need to calculate a second average. Similarly the third average for DCM mode.
