First Nagging Email

There's huge gaps in the schedule today and tomorrow.
I filled10 hours yesterday, but I can't possibly fill 20 slots today! Can people try to do an hour today to give us some coverage. And maybe tomorrow too? Especially 40 and 20 meter SSB. I know it's not a contest, but I'd hate to see our state be humiliated like it was a few years ago. Thanks for everyone's efforts. David, K2WPM |

I'm at work today, and havn't installed a HF station in my office. Have thought about it.

Jeez. I switched log data bases to work the K2 stations from my home call sign, but forgot to switch back when working guys under K2B. There may be a quick way to copy and paste from one log to another but I couldn't figure it out so had to manually copy and delete - about 20 minutes. That is one mistake I am keen not to make again.

Meanwhile, because some HF bands are just not open I am on 2 bands at once, meaning 10 minutes of CQing and low rates on one band and then the same on the other. Even that gets tiring after a while when so few responses occur. But 17m was a surprise for a few minutes when I got several JA stations call. The callers whose call signs are so weak as to allow only maybe one letter at a pass are not an efficient way to use time, I find. Unless the band is otherwise not producing any callers at all, which has been happening on 17m, 15m and 20m, at least this morning. SFI is up and A is down. David, I looked at the signup sheet and was confused by the entrees and question mark.? I quess that I entered my call on a blank line.? Unfortunately, I missed the slots because I didn't enter it on my handwritten list.? I did work 40 m SSB from 11 to 12 today.? The pace was slow.? Hello all,
First time operating K2B. Yesterday on 40 ssb I had 180 QSO's for my 2 hours. I saw the emails about some gaps today, so I got on about 20 minutes early and worked 185 ssb on 40 today. I will look at the schedule (I hope they keep it up to date) and if I have
time I will work a little extra tomorrow. i am really enjoying this and appreciate being invited to operate.?

Hi Dave.? I was going "great guns" on 20 CW between 11 PM and midnight and it appears my Orion rotator lost its cal. Apparently due to the storm that went through. I don't want to twist cables off so will have to wait until daylight to see what the status is on antenna orientation and where the cables are, then proceed accordingly. Thought for you.? I think it would be interesting to have a "Summary page" where people could put down the number of QSOs they had amassed and at what day and time.
