Sorry for the additional email.
I've received several comments / complaints / suggestions.
First please make sure to stay clear of band edge.? For SSB, I've always understood that to be 3 Khz, or 5 Khz to be safe.
Band chart attached.
Second, make sure you are within your license class privileges, same concept for maintaining a cushion.
Third, please respect the Considerate Operator's Guide - several frequencies that should be reserved for SSTV, etc.
Fourth, Hurricane Beryl is headed for Texas; please respect 14.325 and 7268.? I know a couple other colonies seem to be intentionally operating on those frequencies - maybe because they are clear, but I hope we won't.
Fifth, I've had a couple complaints about individuals glomming large chunks of slots.? I'm thrilled to see slots filled, but please leave some slots for others.
Finally, I see more thunderstorms possible this weekend.? Please, please do not take risks.? At the first sign of storm, please shut down / disconnect / ground, do whatever you need to do to be safe.? Ham radio just isn't worth it!? And let us know - it's a big state, so folks in another area might be able safely to operate.
Thanks again,
David, K2WPM
