Hello all,

I'm a neophyte when it comes to contesting (FD is about it) but want to jump in and help with 13 colonies.

Spent some time this afternoon seeing how things run (exchange style, etc.) and collected a few contacts by the way:

• K2J - NC on 40m CW
• K2B - VA on 40m SSB (was probably NX3A since it was between 4 and 5 pm)
• TM13COL - in France - a surprise to find on 15m CW.? Had a great signal!
  

The thunder is booming here right now, and I have seen others report the same.? I guess that will be a regular occupational hazard since our contest runs in July!

If things settle down, I may throw my hat in tonight on 80 or 40, otherwise I'll look for an empty slot to fill tomorrow and plunge in.? Will fill in the spreadsheet if/when I take a slot.
