Applying Dictionary Changes to Vocaliser Only
Hello. I mainly use the British English Vocaliser voices when using Jaws. I only use Eloquence in Microsoft Word. There are some words Vocaliser doesn't say properly, so I have been correcting the

Re: JAWS OCR and "permanence" of the result
Wayne, I do the same thing. I don't get rid of the original file because I know that OCR isn't perfect. I usually create a folder for that product's manual files and keep the original file with files

Re: JAWS OCR and "permanence" of the result
Brian, For anything I buy I try to find a manual for it in electronic form. Most newer material do have a text layer so when I choose to save as a text file, I end up with something that is useable.

Re: JAWS OCR and "permanence" of the result
Gene, Thanks.? This is consistent with what someone else has said, and I was seeking verification of that fact. This is one of the reasons that I never use screen-reader based OCR except in instances

Re: JAWS OCR and "permanence" of the result
Brian, I don't have a file to double check this but I have used it in the past and as best as I can recall the OCR results would be the same as any other OCR results. The results are not associated

JAWS OCR and "permanence" of the result
First, I'll admit I'm being lazy here and don't have the time at the moment to check this myself. If you have an image-scanned PDF file open that is of text, like an article, and use JAWS OCR to

What does this mean for JAWS? Does this even have anything to do with JAWS? It all sounds too technical for the average user, and I can't imagine they would do something that would prevent the average

Re: What "accessibility workarounds" might I have using JAWS (2022) in this situation?
Brian, No, a better name for the touch cursor would be object browser. It allows you to browse the objects on the screen within the active window. It's great for seeing what's on some screens, but all
