As I mentioned – I doubt the issue is JAWS-related as there does seem to be lag with autocomplete today. Suggestion: Wait to see if the lag resolves itself or reboot your system (you said desktop—that doesn’t tell me if you run Win10 or Win11).

I am running M365 with JFW 2024 latest build; however, I noticed a slight lag when entering auto-complete addresses; however, it seems to have slowly resolved itself especially if/when I arrow down to read the addresses prior to pressing enter on the one I need to use. This seemed to occur after an update for M365 installed overnight (or was it yesterday? –can’t recall since I do so much throughout the day) and there was a Windows 11 update that dropped today, as well. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen it happen and it seems to resolve itself.

It behaves the same way for me, but I figured this was how it was supposed to work. The system volume would increase the volume on my system, which would include JAWS, just like hitting the volume up button on my keyboard does. If I want to raise the system volume but not the JAWS volume, then I’ll raise the system volume to what I want and use the JAWS layered command to lower the JAWS volume. Did it work differently in the past?

One thing I do is insert f7, and sometimes, that makes the link work.

Simple question, I think. How do you get same page links to work? I press Enter while focused on a same page link, but when I continue browsing, I discover that my focus hasn't moved, I am still focused on the same page link that I "clicked" on only now it says visited.
So does JAWS support same page links or doesn't it? And if it does, what do I have to do to get them to work?

I’m on X and as you know in order to use keyboard shortcuts navigation quick keys have to be suspended but as there’s no way to get notified of new posts and I follow several sports insiders I check my home timeline several times a day and it gets annoying having to turn off navigation quick keys every time (it’s just so much easier navigating my home timeline using the keyboard shortcuts) I’m wondering is there any way to just turn them off for good? Really hope someone can help me,

In the default JAWs setting, type in “Quick navigation keys” tab then arrow down to “general”. A tree view for quick navigation keys are in this section. Tab over to “Off” then press alt+A to apply the changes before tabbing to OK.

FYI: I keep this default on as it is rare I want to turn this off as I use quick navigation constantly in emails and in the preferred web browser I use. This is not a good plan unless you do not do much web navigation.
