Re: Jaws and system volume in J2024 December release.
开云体育now that I think about it, I’m not so sure because in the past I tended to use headsets to hear the screen reader, but if that was the way it was supposed to work, it seems a little inconsistent to me. I was told that NVDA does it, and few minutes ago I found out that one can access the volume mixer in Windows 11 23H2 by pushing control plus windows key plus V, but this is less practical. ? Re: JAWS Keystrokes Documentation - Can it be called up "on demand" from within JAWS?
Wayne23
There is a comprehensive user guide in the JAWS Help menu called "JAWS Help Topics", and another menu option in the same menu for "Keyboard Commands". Pressing insert+h in an application will bring up Jaws commands for it.
I would argue that the user guide is not comprehensive enough. For example, Jaws now has support for Zoom, Teams and Whatsapp, but there is nothing about this in the Jaws Help Topics. When one considers the cost of JAWS, I don't think it is unreasonable for people to expect the help material to be updated to reflect the features and support in the latest version. |
Re: disabling navagation quick keys for good
While you are on the site. I would do a JAWS+V, then go to personalized web settings, then go to general options, then finally to navigation quick keys, then turn it off, and finally be sure to click OK to save your settings. Now when you visit that site, your navigation quick keys will be off, but they will be on for all other sites.
