Just like there are very occasional Windows updates that tweak a setting you've set to something other than the default, the same thing can happen when Groups.io does maintenance. But there are also bugs, too.? The only way to determine whether it's just a resetting of that setting or a bug is to check what state that checkbox is in and proceed accordingly.
