This group is the email communication arm of the Connecticut Hang Gliding Association (CHGA) which was formed in 1974. We discuss all aspects of portable soaring aircraft use such as hang gliding and paragliding. Because our home site is Talcott Mountain we are more focused on hang gliding. We love to introduce the sport to new people and hope to have our stationary winch up and running in 2021 for this purpose. Foot launched soaring sites are getting harder to find and maintain so towing has become increasingly popular in the last 10 years, especially aerotowing.
Please join our group and introduce yourself. The Connecticut Hang Gliding Association normally meets on the first Tuesday of every month at George's Pizza in Unionville, CT. But because of COVID we have not met this year. We hope to return to this schedule in 2021..
