I?saw one in operation decades ago (I was a teenager) when the Indianapolis Radio Club visited the Hallicrafters plant in Chicago... one of the employees had it in his car, and made a DX contact. ?I was in immediate lust.
I?do?have the original FTM-100 instruction manual that I picked up several years ago... the closest I'll ever come to a rig that was nearly $3K circa 1960 (would be about $30K today).
