I'd never even thought about that, but what a brilliant way to check on local oscillator drift!
I really must get on with my SX16 restoration but it's going to be a long process. I've got
capacitors from Hayseed, all the tubes, decals from RadioDaze - just need to find the time
(and transformers!) and make some space in the shack/workshop to get started...
