why are some photos blurry in the photo albums? 8
Hi; I'm in a pet loss group that allows photo albums of our pets, but notice that some photos are so blurry they are hard to look at. When I tried posting photos of my own departed cat, mine were so blurry I removed them. Is there an optimum file size or something? How can we make our photos clear for viewing? Thanks so much!

Can I change my group's email address? 5
Good morning, Group, I am the moderator of a group that has recently become active after a long dormant period. I see that as moderator, I am able to change the group's email address in general settings. I would like to make this change because the group's original mission has changed from one specific topic to another. The current email address references the old specific topic. If I change the address, say from "[email protected]" to "[email protected]," will everyone's subscriptions remain intact? I would give everyone fair warning beforehand. Problem of a posted message not having been distributed to members, even after a few hours 4
Dear Team, Please, is anyone able to advise about this? I posted a time-sensitive message to my group - /g/gordonbeal/message/2470 - over 3 hours ago, but, although it appeared on the website immediately, it hasn't yet been distributed to members. I don't want to post it again unecessarily, as it might mean people get it twice (which would muck up the numbering system, and might cause some members to unsubscribe if they feel they're getting too many messages). But how long should I wait to be sure that the message I posted isn't going to be distributed? I wonder whether there's a glitch with this particular message, or whether things are just running slowly at the moment? Thank you for any help you may be able to give. Kind regards, Gordon Beal

Hi, again, I'm wondering if it's possible to export data (which I tried by the way) and it's a bunch of computerized squares which groups. io sent to me in a Zipdrive. How do I change my email address on some of the groups I'm a member of? 5
I'm an Amateur Radio junky: When I'm not busy building some circuit or an antenna or talking on one of my radios I'm busy reading/sending emails with other hams all over the world... At last count, I'm a member of 200+ email groups on Groups.io and Owner/Moderator of 56 other groups... There should be 12-step meetings for folks like me... Hmm, maybe I should start that group... So here is the problem: I'd like to move some of the groups I'm a member of to a 2nd email address... This will keep from flooding my primary email inbox... I can't find anything in the Owners or User manuals about this... The only thing I see seems to point to changing my Group profile for ALL my groups... That won't do as I want to split my groups between two email addresses... Do I have to unsubscribe from each group one at a time and rejoin with a new email address and possibly have to create a 2nd Groups.io profile? Fellow Owners - Having a problem with a new listserv. We add new subscribers with Direct Add. On this new list, they get two welcome messages, both the Direct Add and the Welcome notices. Question about Non-private groups and Google 9
Hello: I set up a small Groups.io for my HOA with four people and our accountant who pays our bills. Unfortunately I must not have set the group to private. My web designer found an "okay to pay" post on Google with the HOA groups.io list showing. He's very concerned because of the security risk. I have since set the group to private, however my designer can still find the non-private message on Google Can someone clarify why even if a group is public why the messages would be showing up on Google? Trouble joining a group 2
Hello, I'm wondering if someone can help trouble shoot why I am having trouble joining a new group. I received an email invitation to join went to the group page on groups.io, Said I wanted to join and received another email to confirm my email address. Confirmed it. Went back to the group page and selected Join. Put in my email and new password (two times). Pressed return. I got the message " "Your password has been set. Please log in with it now." (at the top left of the page). I then tried to log in but I got the message " Your profile is missing a photo. Add one now." When I try to click on hyperlink it doesn't go anywhere and I am brought back to putting in a new address and a new password again. So I'm in a feedback loop that I don't know how to get out of. Maybe it's a browser issue? I'm using Firefox. Thanks for any help you can give! Jennie

I need some help with calendar entries 4
My groups, RockridgeNCPC and RockridgeNeighborhoodWatchNetwork, have calendar entries for one set of meetings, on the second Thursday of even numbered months. I finally have the calendar setup working for 2025 ¨C I¡¯d forgotten some of the details. All my meetings have advance notices, 10 days, 5 days, and 2 days out. The first meeting is on Thursday, February 13. Having set up the meetings, I got a notice for the February meeting today ¨C January 11. Did that go to everyone in the group? I¡¯m afraid it¡¯ll confuse people to get notices this far out. Actually, I had to delete the event and recreate it several times, so I guess I¡¯ve already sent too many notices. But I have questions about some new options on the calendar creation page. Down at the bottom, there¡¯s an option to Send Notice To Group When Event Happens (tagged with #cal-notice). I think that¡¯s new since last year. My groups have always got the calendar notices without it, what does it add, aside from the hashtag #cal-invite? Also, what¡¯s the difference between Update Event and Update Event and Group? I sometimes want to update just one event, but have the change go out with the regular meeting notices, not sent right away. Many thanks for advice. I tried renaming a Group Title, Group Email Address and Subject Tag 4
Help!!! I have/had a legacy FREE group that wasn't getting much use so I was going to rename it and see if I could get folks to join the new group... I tried a few names but each time I tried the Update Group button the Group Email Address would show RED so I assumed that name was taken so I tried a few more... All the good ones seemed to be taken... Then in the middle of renaming the Group Title, Group Email Address, and Subject Tag my internet froze... I've waited and now the group does not show up in my list of groups that I'm the Owner or a Member of and it does not show up when I try to browse to its old name, https://hamfest.groups.io/g/main Dallas

Question on behavior of Billing Add Payment Methods F 4
I am the owner of PlasticFreightCarBuiilders which is a premium group. I had to update the payment method before the new billing date as it was set to a credit card that is no longer active. Changing the Payment method forced me to us the Stripe application for the new (to you) credit card. After that the Add Payment Method has become greyed out. Is this the expected behavior? If so can I expect Stripe to only charge the card only for the balance after subtracting the reserve amount? I don't recall any email being sent that you are now forcing us to use Stripe which I consider a competitor of PayPal and not allowing direct charging to a credit card. Maybe you need to send a reminder. I am not necessarily objecting to this change. It's just that there does not seem to be explanation on the page that Stripe is the only credit card processor allowed. 24 hour window, Direct Add function 6
When you use the Direct Add function in the Premium account to invite new members, the invitation references a 24 hour window to log in if it's their first time logging in or if they have forgotten their password. Why is this different from the two week window provided for members invited using the free version? And is it necessary to log in if you only plan to use the group's email address to post messages and to receive messages? In other words, does the log-in and password refer to creating a groups.io account which may not be necessary if you're just sending and receiving messages?

Confusing welcome message 5
I have a main group named admin which isn't really used as an email group. Under that is a subgroup called discussion. When I add someone to the discussion group, I must first add them to the admin group, which is fine. My problem is that generates an automatic greeting message telling the individual to send email to admin@..., which is something I don't want them to do. I cannot edit that greeting, but I am allowed to add an addendum. So I do, in which I tell them to ignore the first part of the message and instead send their messages to discussion@.... But I'm sure this is confusing. Can anyone think of a work-around or a better way of handling this?

The Help Center includes the following statement: "You can get help with Groups.io from the resources below. If you'd like more assistance or have questions, please check out the Group Managers Forum and Group_Help groups. Due to the current volume of support email, we can only answer messages sent from owners of Premium groups at this time." If you are an owner of a Premium group, is there a particular email address you should use for help queries? Or does your email address automatically identify you as a Premium group owner, thereby allowing for a direct response? Thanks.

Incorrect Time of Calendar Events 6
I believe there may be a bug in the calendar events. I posted an event for Tuesday, 14 January 2025, 10am to 11am Eastern Standard Time. UTC -05:00 Eastern Standard Time - New York It shows on the calendar as 7am In the description it shows as Tuesday, January 14, 7:00am - 8-am In the details panel it shows Tuesday, January 14, 2025 10:00am - 11:00am, (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time - New York My location is in (UTC-06:00) Mexico City, so if it was attempting to show calendar events in my local time zone, it would provide a time of 09:00am and not 07:00am Thanks in advance for any assistance!
