Hi. I¡¯m a relatively new moderator, so when something just went amiss with my own personal account, it has me worried that it could be happening to other members too.

I had subscribed to digests from the group I manage and was receiving them until this week. Then I stopped receiving them. They were not in my Junk folder. When I looked this up in the Email Delivery History tab, it told me that the most recent successful delivery was

Message
Digest #24
Delivered
Oct 12
Response
2.0.0 09CD9EKN007293 Message accepted for delivery

And then the most recent unsuccessful delivery:

Message
Digest #25
Attempted
Oct 19
Response
: dial tcp4 52.0.124.244:25: i/o timeout

I am guessing the problem is with my email provider, The Well.?

Weirdly, I am still receiving digests from the other that I belong to, including Group Managers Forum.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

So I followed up with my email service, which is The Well. They are a small and wonderful online community that has been around since the dawn of the Internet era. They are stymied as to why some of my Group emails come through fine, but others get turned away. Not bounced, but turned away.

They have asked me to get in touch with groups.io tech support, but I am not a Premium member and so don't have access to tech support.

The Well apparently had some kind of spam-type blocking mechanism in place. To solve my problem, they tried removing the block. My tech support contact there writes, "after I removed the block, suddenly??started flooding us with attempts, over 43,000 in a matter of minutes.?I think there's something wrong over there. Could you get in touch with their support? I reinstated the blocking mechanism for now."

I am not sure what to do.

All my messages were coming through fine until about a week ago. Now, when I look at it, it seems like the groups that I subscribe to as Summaries come through, but the Digests don't.

Is there any way to have someone at groups.io talk to the people at The Well?

Ilana

I believe that says that there's a configuration error at the well.com site.? Internal connections aren't being made properly when GIO sends an email.
