Shal ? >>>On the plus side, a visitor (non-member) can only see those if the group? has public archives. ?Would that apply to Top poster also?? I don't care to have members ID's visible on the group front page after all what is the point of private to mod only the members list. Plus I don't want my members feeling as if one member is more popular than the? other or categorized as the big mouth of the group..lol ?I have a private group.? Private is private and I would like the choice to turn these options off. Any advise? Vickie ? Vickie,
I don't care to have members ID's visible on the group front pageWhat's shown is the member's Display Name (a nickname he/she can set in his/her profile), or if they haven't set a Display Name the user name part of their email address. One or the other will be visible on their messages as well. That said, it might make sense to hide from members the Top Poster section of the home page if the group's Members list is hidden from members. Or maybe that should be a separate control. Any advise?Suggest it on beta@. I'd include "#homepage #members #suggestions" in the Subject line. -- Shal |
