out of control fonts

Is there any way to control the appearance of the archived postings, as regards fonts, font sizes, etc. Regardless of what font is used in an email that gets posted, the version in the archives usually ends up too small to read. I looked around at Settings and all, but didn't notice anything relevant.

You can try this in settings - message formatting.
Normalize HTML Emails
Strip all different fonts and colors from HTML emails.

Don't forget to save.

No.? Much of that can be controlled by your browser, so there's really no reason to set it on the site.

If you're not aware of it, just hit Ctrl-+ one or more times to expand the font size. Ctrl- [minus] to shrink it. This works in all the browsers that I am have tried. Once you've set this, it remains in effect for that browser tab or window until you change it.

It's been my observation that messages are normalized on the web UI, but the original text (size, style, etc) is sent out to members via the email bounce.? Is your experience different?

Ken, I just tested it. There is a difference, both online in the group and in my email on my computer (MacBook) and on my iPhone.

With normalize turned on in settings, it looks fine, conventional. Without it turned on, it has the coloured and weird fonts that I selected for the test.
Same on my iPhone - without normalize, ?it has the red font in the groups page, and in my email.

As far as font size and style, Duane is right. It is dependent on your device. As you see from my test this evening, you can take out crazy fonts and colours with "normalize" in settings. ?However that may not be your question! I set my browser preferences for larger fonts.
