How can I keep messages from hiding email address information after @

 

? ? ? ?Is there any way of? allowing email addresses such as? name@... to be displayed in email body?? ? ?

Example below:??

?Also on this page is the name of DDA's Constituent Services contact:? ? ?Anthony.Jackson@...? ?You should also send an email about your issue directly to him.??
? ? ? ? ? ? ? DDA's Statewide Self-Direction Coordinator should also be emailed:??
natoya.mitchell@...? ? or you can just cc her on the email you send to Anthony Jackson.
 

There is a setting: Admin->Settings->Settings Tab->Privacy Section->Hide Email Addresses in Archives
which can be set to ¡°Do not mask email addresses in the archives.¡± or ¡°Mask all email addresses in the web archives.¡±

When it is set to the ¡°Mask¡± setting, when viewing the messages in the archive the messages show up like your example. When it is set to ¡°Do not mask¡±,
addresses show unmodified.

However, the setting does not affect how the message is sent out in email messages. It only affects how things look in the Archives, ie. when you look at the email messages on the groups.io website (at /g/yourgroup/messages or )

I¡¯m not aware of a setting that enables/disables the displaying of email addresses in the actual emails sent to members from your group.

Hi there, I have the settings adjusted to SHOW email address in the web archive, and yet they still aren't visible in the web archive.? Is this a bug in the software?? Or am I doing something wrong?

They're only available to members when logged in, so maybe that's it.? Non-members will never see them, even if the group archives are set to public.

Put a space after the @ sign.? Alert recipient to remove it.? Good luck!
 

I am the group manager and even I can't see the emails on the web archive when I'm logged in.? This seems like a bug...??

IF that's really happening, it would be a bug, but that's not what I'm seeing.? Check your group settings under Privacy to make sure it's set to "Show email addresses in the web archive".
