Disable Digest Option
Marie Alline
Is there a way to disable the digest option in a group?
Thanks for any help with this. -- Marie Alline |

None that I'm aware of.? The delivery selections are up to the individual members.? If you don't already have it set, under Admin > Settings, you can select the Default Sub Settings tab and set it so that new members start with whatever you prefer, but they can always change it later.

Digest is a member selectable option - it's under the control of the member - not the moderator(s).
? I don't even understand why you would want to do that.? If you have an important message that needs to go out "now" ... send it as a Special Notice. ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?- Jim B. |

I'm sure restricting users to individual messages would be desirable in that case. Bruce ? -- The system Help is your friend.??/static/help |

Absolutely correct Bruce! If the compiled art is available broken up in different files, which is the case with both the messages available online and with the digests, people are more likely to pirate graphics. Copyright compliance is very important to me, therefore removing the objects of temptation are very desirable. Most of my members are very good and I don't have a problem with it normally, but once in awhile I get someone who is just looking for the opportunity to snag things that they should not, so it's those few I am concerned about. Thanks for your input!
