Default Date Order of Messages

Hello,
Each time I visit the messages, I have to click on the DATE button at the top because the default date order is for the oldest messages to appear at the top.
Is there a setting to permanently change the default to NEWEST on top so I don't have to do this every time I visit?

I looked through all the settings and either couldn't find it or it isn't there.
Thanks

Just click on the arrow beside Date. It sticks with whatever you left it at.
There is no other setting for this.

As Frances noted, groups.io should "remember" the last view you used and continue to use that.

Did you bookmark the page with the wrong sort order? If so, you might need to create a new bookmark.

I did a couple of tries and even returning using my old bookmark I come back to my new sort setting.
Is date preference set by a cookie?

I didn't find a cookie for it.? It's apparently stored as part of your account, though I haven't figured out where exactly.

A little more detail.? The 'normal' URL for my chosen view is /g/GroupManagersForum/topics? When I click to change date order, it becomes /g/GroupManagersForum/topics?p=RecentPostDate%2FSticky,,,50,1,0,0? When I click a second time, it changes to /g/GroupManagersForum/topics?p=RecentPostDate%2FSticky,,,50,2,0,0? The 3rd digit from the end toggles between 2 (most recent first) and 1 (oldest first).? If I save one of these as a bookmark, it sorts in that order when using it.? If the bookmark doesn't have the ? and all the stuff after it, I see my last used view.

AHHH yes, My bookmark (that returned me to my last GUI view preferences) was Plain Jane.
??
I seem to have 6 GIO cookies - It appears that it's controlled by one ("groupsio") the only one I have that updates.
(Although I haven't tested out all display tweaks) It appears that the (well-disguised coded)?crumbs update when I close the site tab (Chrome) or if I change the GUI view (e.g., date newest to oldest, or to feed, or..., etc.) and still remain open. The view appears to be universal (same across all groups.)
It doesn't seem to update when first entering the site.

Maybe Micro has some cookie controls set for this or all visited sites?
