About Google groups [correction: Google+]
[mod note: as mentioned later in this topic, the closure is of Google+, not Google Groups. Google+ is (was) Google's challenger to Facebook.] |

What I read seemed directed at the Google+ services. Now how that is
separate or not from the other Google stuff, I'm not sure. I got one of the emails about it this morning. I don't know if it as an attachment would come through or should I do a cut/paste? Or has the key folk in this group already seen one? -Ken Cameron, Member JMRI Dev Team www.jmri.org www.fingerlakeslivesteamers.org www.cnymod.com www.syracusemodelrr.org |

I wondered how that affects Google Drive but suspect that gets used and may not be part of Google+, at least I hope it isn't. Subsequent posts have clarified that this applies only to Google+ (a Facebook clone that no one appears to use). Google Groups, Google Search, the Chrome browser, GMail and Calendaring, Google Maps etc show no sign of going anywhere, and the sooner this thread of misinformation dies, the better. ?
