Subsequent posts have clarified that this applies only to Google+ (a Facebook clone that no one appears to use). Google Groups, Google Search, the Chrome browser, GMail and Calendaring, Google Maps etc show no sign of going anywhere, and the sooner this thread of misinformation dies, the better. ?
