Need help to clarify. If results if I enable emails viewable in archive for the group?

Does that make all email addresses in directory viewable to all members? Or just in each message? Directory looks like a different option.

Does that allow full email addresses to show up in body of messages?
The issue trying to solve is when members post contact info in a reply or message it is truncated for some members?

Want to preserve privacy, ?but would like email addresses to be viewable, ?if posted within body of a reply or a message.

So best way to enable members to see emails posted within body of messages?

I just wanted to point out the difference between the member list and the member directory.
Member list is labelled "Members". Member directory is labelled "Directory".

Not all members are listed in Directory, only those that allow it. And only members who have chosen to make their profile visible can see other members who have opted to be included in the directory.

That means that full email addresses will show in the online archive to members of the group when signed in.? If your archive is public, non-members (or those not signed in) won't see the full address, just what you're currently seeing.? The full address is included in all emails delivered to members per their subscription settings.
