Possible Downgrade to basic from Premium
John Pearce
We have a premium group that used the automated move from Yahoo.? It's come time to renew in a couple of weeks.? We do use groups.io in a basic fashion, we only use about 330 MB of data and the group is restricted.? We would lose the following according to the billing page:
If you downgraded your group to free, these are the features that would be enabled and disabled:
My subscription to the managers forum keeps me up to date on issues people face.? But I seem to remember that besides the ability to "direct add" that we would use when someone is not technical and is having trouble joining there may be other small items moderators use to manage the group that we would lose the ability to use?? My concern is the day to day management of the group like using monthly noticies, banning members, moderating members, restricting subscriptions etc.? Would we lose anything there? John P |

If you group was created?after?January 15 (yours was not), the downgrade will?also?cause all subgroups to be locked. For groups created after August 24, lost features from a downgrade is reflected in the table (i.e.: everything from "Subgroups on your own subdomain" on down). I did see that page under billing in settings.? So we would still have everything marked "legacy", it's just that we would have less storage space for photos, files, polls, calendar, etc?Did you see the new File uploaded by Bruce? /g/GroupManagersForum/files/Groups.io%20features%20%28includes%20legacy%20stuff%29.pdf Frances ? -- GMF wiki for help.?Search box at the top of each page. Thank you Francis, no I had not.? I did do some searches not sure why I missed it.? I am confused regarding something on that PDF.? It says premium groups created by Oct 22 2020 are $110.? Should that be Oct 2019?? Our group was created 11/9/2019 and we paid $220 at that time and the billing page says 220 for our next payment.
