messages marked as spam

Normally I don't have more than one or two members mark messages as spam in a several month time frame, but lately I'm have several per day.? I send each member who gets the group.io message that they were removed for marking a message as spam indicating to them I'l permanently remove them if they continue to mark any message from my group as spam.? I've had two people who contacted me saying they have NOT marked any messages as spam, so I've asked them to review the actual action they took on THOSE messages to see if they deleted them differently than other messages.? Anyone have ANY idea what they might be doing to be interpreted as 'marking a message as spam'?

Hi Harlan

They are probably *not* marking them as spam

Their emailer is putting groups.io messages in their spam folder and after a period (usually 30 days) they are automatically deleted

It is that which triggers the marked as spam

Just post a warning to that effect in your group and tell them to check their spam folders in web mail and mark any groups.io posts as not spam

They need to check periodically but at least once a month if not more

I've seen a few members in groups that got hit with the 'masks' messages.
Their local tagged the mask message spam, which it was, but that fed back to
groups and dropped the member. Thankfully it was only a few, it could have
been many.
