How to Disable "Mute This Topic"
Yanto
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýDear GMF Users,Currently I'm a new user in groups.io system and owner of our groups, that has been transferred from Yahoogroups. I saw, when we send an email to our groups in groups.io system, new message footer will added automatically. I copy paste sample of this message footer (replacing our groups name with ... [3 dots]). My question: Is there any settings inside groups.io system to remove "Mute This Topic" part from message footer? Or any setting to customize our groups message footer? As far as I know, when we mute topic, no new message can be send and replying to those topic. Is it correct? Thanks for your help. Budhi S. |

My question:Hi Budhi, You can't change the footers. The Mute this topic only refers to your own email preferences. Not the group's preferences. And you can edit your previous mutes or follows. See? /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Managing-Muted-and-Followed-Topics And an overview of muting and following: /static/help#muting Frances ? -- FAQ on Moving from YahooGroups GMF Wiki: (unofficial) Help for members (and would-be members) and group managers |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Frances,Thanks for your clear explanation. It's relieve if "mute this topic" only refer to our own email preferences, not group's preferences. Appreciate your answer with required link. It's a valuable information for newbie like me in groups.io system. Budhi S. On 11/25/2019 7:20 PM, Frances wrote:

My question:No. the ability to "unsubscribe" from individual threads is one of groups.io's advantages over alternatives As far as I know, when we mute topic, no new message can be sent andNo. When you LOCK a thread the messages sent will not be passed-on. When you MUTE a thread, new messages in that thread will not be sent to YOU anymore groetjes, Ronaldo |
Edit your previous mutes or follows.
