Formatting Outgoing Messages to Group - Font Style and Size

I'd like to change the font style and size (use Helvetica 16) but I can't see how to change it on my webpage message template. ?I saw the GMF messages that said there was a "format bar" when yoou clicked on "settings" - but I don't see it. ?Probably simple, but I can't find it.
Thank you,
David

I use my iPad and havent found a font size and style choice either. I found a work around by ?launching another app with my preferred Helvetica 16 font. After composing, I paste it into the IO message and it preserves my formatting.?

By the above do you mean Groups.io's composition window? (For messages, wiki pages and the like.)

If so, then have a look at the composition window; do you have one line or two lines of Toolbar available? If just one line then click on the "hamburger" at the right hand end of the line; (Tooltip: Show Advanced Toolbar) This will bring up a second line of tools which include font size and a limited selection of fonts.

I click on the ¡°hamburger¡± and it gives me a second line of tools - but it doesn¡¯t include the font size and selection of fonts.
Is that because my owner email address is through gmail?

Thank you,
David

Now that I can't explain; perhaps someone else can.

Curiously, though, when I post on beta the composition window I get lacks those as well. (It may also lack others but not having required them I haven't really noticed.)

No, it's because you disabled those tools in Settings.

Return to Admin>Settings and UNcheck "Normalize HTML Emails."

Hi Bruce,?
I own/moderate 3 groups. I haven't been into my Admin settings in any of the group's to check or uncheck that box so I am thinking the default is something other than Normalize HTML Emails.?

Are you referring to an Admin setting in my IO account or an Admin setting in each group?
I am headed over now to see if I can find it/them.?

I thought maybe it was the iPad that was prevented me from seeing font styles and sizes.?
Many Thanks,

I just checked and that box in UNchecked in all of my groups. I too have the 3 lines and the second line doesn't give my any font options that I can find.?

I just did some testing and you're probably right.? Try using your iPad in landscape mode, then check.? When the screen gets too narrow, some things are left off of the menu.

Turning it to landscape worked on my iPad Pro. I set this message to Ariel 12. After setting the font style, I had to turn the iPad portrait again because I couldn't hold and type the characters with "two thumbs".

Interesting, that once I returned to portrait, it then retained all of the 16 icons in the menu's second bar. Which means the iPad is capable of interpreting the coding to display the expanded second line of icons while in portrait. It just can't do so if in portrait mode intially.?

I have been wondering for 8 months why there was no underline, undo, redo and other common icons. Very thankful to find them. I am going to explore landscape mode a bit more to see if it allows me to resize inserted photos. I haven't been able to save after making them smaller. The save button doesn't work, at least not in portrait. Landscape has offered up a new world of options on IO?

Thanks.?
