Confirmation email

Can I ask for clarification of one aspect of the confirmation email sent when
someone applies to join a group? If they apply to join a restricted group by
clicking the button on the group's web page, while logged into their account,
should they then receive a confirmation email? I ask because of a case where no
such email was received, and no, it did not go into a spam folder. The group in
question shows their membership as awaiting approval. I am not a moderator of
the group in question so I can't look at the admin pages.

NC is mostly for new users of groups.io. If someone is logged in when they hit a "Join this Group" button, generally they will not receive a confirmation email, unless for some reason they haven't previously confirmed that account/email address.?

Put another way:? Like Bouncing, NC is an account status, not a subscription status. If someone has already confirmed their groups.io account in the process of joining some other group, they do not have to do so again when joining a second group.

I hope that made sense.

Bruce
