Hi,
Thanks, It's ticked already. When I send an email to the groupname@groups.io it does not show in the messages list on the groups.io website either. [sig line with phone number trimmed by Moderator] |

Most likely, you're attempting to post from an account that's not subscribed to the group. You can confirm this by review of the Activity log (Admin>Activity). You'll likely find an entry along these lines:? "Non-member noname@... attempted to send message 'not receiving emails' via email" If you have a previous group email in your possession, look at the footer. Your subscribed email address can be found in square brackets [ ] at the bottom-right of the message. Send from that address and it should post. You can also look up your subscribed email address by opening your subscriber record in the Members List (Admin>Members).? Hope this helps, Bruce -- The system Help is your friend.??/static/help |

Mona, I'm still not receiving emails I send. Please help us help you. Please follow Bruce's suggestions and tell us what you see. ? Is there a help desk I can contact or is this just the moderators group mailing list? See /static/help#questions. Questions like yours are best addressed through this group (GMF). There is a support address for bug reports listed and an official suggestion box, but I don't think your situation fits either of those.
As Bruce said, that is something entirely different than simply not receiving your own messages.

Hi,
Thank you for your help. I'm following your advice indeed I'm posting from the right address - as triple checked on the group member page I'm posting to the right address - as triple checked on the group member page There are no pending messages I'm receiving an email I sent from the group topics webpage directly - it shows in messages and activities - but not when I send it from my email account (thunderbird) using the same email addresses - it does not show at all in the activity nor in the messages. Mona,
... but not when I send it from my email account (thunderbird) usingHaving nothing show in the group's Activity log strongly implies that you sent the message To the wrong address. Try clicking on or copy/pasting the Post: address from the bottom of your group's home page. The failed attempts could have had a rather subtle typo. Also have a look in your email folders (in Thunderbird and/or at your service's email web site) for delivery failure notices. If you find any that correspond with your attempts those should contain an error code and text that may be helpful. I clicked on the address directly from the group which opened in Thunderbird and sent an email. It is the same spelling I had used so I really don't know what was wrong. I'm just glad it is working. Thank you very much for sticking with me. Mona |
