i notice that Groups.io has no option for members to edit an their posts.? Some forums allow editing all the time others allow 1-2 hours to edit a post.

Another option would be to allow 1-2 edits per post.

Go to Admin->Settings->Message Policies. UNcheck the box labelled "Disable Editing Posts." Be sure to click the blue "Update Group" button afterward.

To actually perform the edit, open the affected message online. Click the More menu at the bottom (just to the right of the "Like" button) and select "Edit Message" from the popup.

Something to keep in mind is that every time you save an edit, a new message is sent.? Only owners have the option of saving it without sending.
