If I understand correctly, this same problem pre-existed in the Yahoo group...the transfer simply brought it to light. In that sense, it's no different from people who landed on "no email" delivery

ken, Dano's mention of risks in this is may be understated. A general ability to re-assign ownership of member contributions could easily lead to all sorts of abuse, and probably also bad consequences

Harlan, It has always been the case that using the web pages to control one's subscription requires being signed in to Yahoo. But that is not the same as being subscribed to a group with a Yahoo Mail

Harlan, Duane is correct. In Y!Groups there is no means for a group to prevent members from selecting No Email. I don't know why you think you remember doing that, but members could always change it
