One thing to remember is that each account on groups.io can belong to more than one group.? So if you remove a member from your group, you are unsubscribing them, not deleting their account.?? If they resubscribe with a different email address, they now have 2 accounts on groups.io, one or both may be subscribed to your group. The cleanest way to change a member's email is for them to login to their account and change their email address. See ->?/static/help#changeemail To clean up this situation, the user should login with the old email address that they do not want to use on groups.io, click on their name drop down button (top right), click Account, go to the bottom of the page and click Delete My Account.? [if they don't have a password, they can use the "Email me a link to login" function on the Log In page and login via the link they get in their old email] If they don't have access to their old email, they should send a message to [email protected]?explaining the situation and ask that their old account be deleted. Based on the dates, this looks to be around the time that Yahoo was having server problems (persistent "soft" bounces). If the email address did not exist you would have gotten a different error.
Sending the bounce probe is the right thing to do. If the subscriber replies to it, that account will no longer show up as "bounced" in the member list. I don't think you will receive any email notifications but the unbounce might appear in the activity log, too. Good luck, Bruce |

? This is just the first bounced member. The other 63 have more or less the same history. I don?t understand at all what all these commentaries means, neither do I understand the abreviations. ? I did find the button to send a bounce probe. So I?ll do this with all of them first before I take another step. But just deleting them doesn?t seem right to me. Because before we were transferred, I sent emails to all my close to 600 members, and at that time I already became aware of whose addresses didn?t work any more. Those I deleted. But the 64 members that are hard bounced (red b) now, must not necessarily have invalid email adresses. I don?t mind the work associated with this procedure of writing to all of them, but I try to understand what?s happening. ? One more question: How do I notice if s.o. unbounces himself? ?
