Finally it worked!
Thanks Bruce for your suggestion to delete the transfer and start a new one. Sincerely; Edward Borg |

Thanks for your response. Well I did subscribe to Premuim and paid my dues and followed the instructions to do the transfer. And a couple of members received the invite. Therefore my question about how long the process takes. Is io maybe overloaded? Or did something go wrong ? Does io have customer service? Any comments are greatly appreciated.? Fernando

This causes the topic to go into the moderated queue, and when a moderator approves it, it gets sent as a Special Notice with that hashtag.Have you tried that or is it just an assumption at the moment? I have somewhere I can put it to the test but it won't be "now" coz I need my sleep. :) Chris |
Re: Is there a need for two owners?
There are pros and cons for more than one. I see it all; the time in yahoo groups. PROS-The owner leaves ,dies,is hospitalized for a length of time? whatever and who is left? A moderator that cannot do much of anything .This is happening in 2 groups I am a member of . No Owner and mod cant do much of anything another group owner died and no one is moderator ?It is best to have at least one more owner that has all the tools you have . BUT there has to be a trust . And a moderator .? CONS- they take your group from you?

Re: Is there a need for two owners?
Having multiple owners is a judgement call. I have been moderating a large group since 1995. It is now here. We have three owners. Each can be trusted with your life! Re: list picture
Duh!? Thanks!? I went all the way down the list of settings but never noticed the "buttons" splayed across the top.? No more elephants.? (I love elephants, which are intelligent and socially advanced herd animals, obviously a clever choice for a site that hosts groups; they just don't fit my group.) |

Hi
There had been a problem with AOL but I don't see anything recent in my search in the message archive. However in your screenshot, there is a weird email address. You can delete wrong email addressees on your iPhone (similar to deleting email addresses of previous recipients on a Mac.) Here's the info -? As I said, I see you in the Group Managers' Forum member list - you just joined this evening. You must send from your sweetsiberians ?at aol.com email address. (close the spaces and put in the at symbol). Hope this helps. Ask again. Or someone else might chime in. Some people have two accounts with different email addresses in case something goes wrong with one email account. The second account is set to No Mail or Special Notices only.
However we have had some people trying to deal with long gone owners - dead or just gone - and it is a problem. (I make my husband an owner. I trust him!) Please note that I am not talking about email aliases. /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Profile-and-Email-Address-and-Merging-Accounts Frances -- FAQ on Moving from YahooGroups GMF Wiki: (unofficial) Help for members (and would-be members) and group managers |

I found the number on the home page but it's interesting that on myAha! You have found another "Preference". When viewing the web UI click on your personal identifier at the right hand end of the bar at the top. Then click on Account. Then click on Preferences; scroll down to Items Per Page; it is settable to 20, 50, 100 or Infinite Scroll. It is an Account - wide setting and will affect all groups within that account. It applies to Topics per page, Members per page, and possibly other things but it is late evening in the UK and I cannot be sure of remembering them all! If you change the setting down forget to click on Update Preferences. Chris |

I am unable to reply to group.io via email. This is me on the group platform praying this works.?
Here¡¯s hoping? ?
Our group and subgroups are set to ¡°reply to group¡± as default.?
?
Here¡¯s what happens when I reply:?
?
1.?The author is replied to in the ¡°to¡± line and sub group in cc line. ?
?
2. The?Author¡¯s email is not correct. It is the name of author? plus ¡°via groups.io ¡° and it bounces every time.?
?
3. Subgroup email address is in cc line.?
?
?
I am not ¡°replying to all.¡± ?I am using a new (less than 3 m old?iphone Xr?that is up to date?on software;?i am using the?aol?App on my phone and it is up to date. Aol does not allow browser access to aol email,??it routes one to their app (even when I delete app from my phone).?
?
No one else in the very small (4 member)?subgroup is experiencing this issue. I have 11 years of email needed for my cattery on this?aol?email account and can¡¯t use another. I cant afford to buy an android phone.?The group / subgroup i belong to?is cattery related.?
?
?
Does groups.io functioning?conflict with aol / aol apps / iPhones??
?
After a year of trying,?just got my yahoo?group to migrate to groups.io?from yahoo, and of course I am the one w a problem ?
?
Lovely- used the reply to group link on my first?email from this group?and?got the attached error message when I tried to send.?
Thank you for any help.? Kate Stryker?

Re: Transfer Process to groups.io
Fernando, you need to start the transfer. See:
/g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/FAQ-on-Moving-from-Yahoo-Groups 2. How do I move my Yahoo Group to Groups.io?
?
If you just want to start a new group and invite everyone to join, see /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Inviting-new-members
?
You can also pay for a Premium group for a month and Direct Add everyone that you have an email address for, see #8 below and /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Direct-Add-From-Yahoo
?
Or you can have Groups.io transfer (move) your group. To use the Transfer Agent, you must upgrade your group to the Premium Yearly plan. You must pay before you start the transfer process. It is a step-by-step process, so Stay Calm, Don't Panic, and Just Read the Instructions. Including this FAQ, and the pages it cites.
See the page for more details.

Transfer Process to groups.io
I signed up for the transfer from yahoo to groups.io about a week ago. Yes, I paid my dues. My group has 160+ members. Looks like so far only or three members of my yahoo group have received the invite to join the io group. And no transfer of emails, files, photos has happened yet.
Any idea as to how the process is going and the timing involved? thanks Fernando |
