Re: Moving Progress

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

I was 732 yesterday, now I'm on position 731.

But thats not a problem right now, this means the data is allreaddy exported from yahoo, so it's now only a question of time.

My other goup make me more nervous, it isn't exported from yahoo right now, i don't trust yahoo not only a little bit...

Maybe some people payed the $200 speed up ticket and that put you backwards?

You can pay the $200 ticket if it is that ugent for you.

Transfer Status

Your group is awaiting import into Groups.io. There are about 479 groups ahead of it in the queue. [Step 3 of 4]

Is there anything else I should be doing?

adding owners

How do I add additional owners to a group?

New group validated and Joining questionnaire

I? have just created a group to transfer our Yahoo group over. Do I need to wait for an email to say that the group has been accepted and is ok for others to join?
Is it possible to have a questionnaire sent to members applying to join a group here? If it is, how do I set that up?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Lynne

Waiting to accept invite

Transfer fees paid and request made on October 18 and invite was sent from yahoo and [email protected] was made a owner at yahoo.

Invite has been received by GIO on Oct 18

But invite is yet to be accepted.

Looks like too much time has taken and wonder if something fell thru the cracks.
The group is TaxProXchange at GIO.
What should I do next?

TIA

Re: quoted text not included in digests

In at least one of my groups, it's been found that if the respondent posts an answer Under the quoted text, or both over and under...bottom-posting or wrapping around...it brings the quoted text into the digest.?

But I've yet to try the digest on my groups to see it myself.

There's no setting to change that, it's done automatically by the site.? My suggestion would be to make sure that something is added above the quote, say "Answers inline".? That should cause everything to be visible, but I haven't verified it.? Working with quotes has been an ongoing battle and adjustments are sometimes made.

Formatting Outgoing Messages to Group - Font Style and Size

I'd like to change the font style and size (use Helvetica 16) but I can't see how to change it on my webpage message template. ?I saw the GMF messages that said there was a "format bar" when yoou clicked on "settings" - but I don't see it. ?Probably simple, but I can't find it.

If your invitation was received, it will say so in the box at the top of the resulting page.

quoted text not included in digests

I've been getting blank posts in digests, because apparently quoted text is not included, so neither are members' inline responses. Is there a setting where that can be changed?

Thanks.

No, that date is set automatically, either when they join your group here or whatever date is present on YG during the transfer.

There is currently no function to ban an IP address.

2. How can you delete messages from the group site ?
Select "Delete Message" from the More hamburger menu found at lower right of the message.

3. Is there anyway you can hide an IP address when you join a group that is not cool thing that our iP addys are out there ? Not saying me but it is true? I had members asking me and I have no idea but that is a private matter with that.
IP addresses are logged in some situations and can also be viewed in message headers (using the "View Source" function). However, from the above I don't fully understand what you want to happen.

Bruce

I¡¯m fine with a long time for completion; there¡¯s no activity expected currently in the YG, but I get worried that there¡¯s some glitch preventing acceptance (though I wasn¡¯t hit with the ¡®doesn¡¯t want¡¯ bug).

There was a problem getting invites to the transfer agent yesterday evening.? You can find out if the invitation has been received by checking the transfer status of your group.? See /g/GroupManagersForum/message/19948? After the invite is received, there's a delay of a few days until it will be accepted, so keep checking the status page until it changes.

As you noted, this notification is sent to the Moderator/Owner address, not the new subscriber address. Be sure to look in the correct inbox. If that's all fine, check your Spam/Junk mail folder to see if the notification landed there. Finally, check your Email Delivery History to see if the notification bounced due to some temporary condition.

I asked the group's owner but he doesn't know how to grant me this permission. Is there any documentation that explains how to enable the download_archives permission for a group?
It's in Admin>Settings>Message Policies. Note that this permission cannot be assigned to a single person. If this box is checked, any subscriber can do the download.

There is also an Export Group Data function, but I've been unable to figure out which of the Moderator permissions would allow one to do that. It's possible the function is only available to Owners.
