switch from one list to another or anything like that. When I go to my Account/Identity page from the group with the subgroups it lists my Account Profile with the correct creation date of 2 years ago and just the profiles for the main group and subgroups. When I go to that same page from any other group there is the same Account Profile and all of the group profiles, including the group with the subgroups. When I joined the list with the subgroups it did ask me to log in, even though I already was. So perhaps something weird happened there. Jonathan On 11/20/2019 12:23 PM, Frances wrote:

odd behavior of Your Groups drop down menu
I belong to an organization that just started a non-profit
Enterprise group on Groups.io. This is my first experience with a group that has subgroups. When I'm on the web site for this group or its subgroups the "Your Groups" drop down menu only lists the group and the subgroups I'm subscribed to. On any of the other groups I belong to the "Your Groups" menu includes all the groups I'm in, including the one with subgroups (which are indented to indicate they are sub-groups of the same group). As I said I don't have much experience with subgroups, so I'm wondering if this is normal behavior for the "Your Groups" list? I usually use bookmarks in my browser to access the group pages when I need to do so, so it isn't a big deal. It just seems strange that I can use the "Your Groups" menu to get to that group and its subgroups, but then can't use the menu to get to any of the other groups I belong to. Perhaps there is some good reason for this behavior, or perhaps this is a bug. If anyone has any further information or knowledge about it let me know. Thanks. Jonathan |

does this mean?Jessica -- The setting stated in your subject line will make the group message archive unavailable to non-members. Yesterday one of my group member said he want to use RSS feed.Okay, so your archives can no longer be accessed via RSS, but there are some services out there that you can forward mail to RSS. One such service is . The free package is 100 mails per month, and the paid package is EUR 4.00 per month. To use it, you have to subscribe to the Groups.io group using an e-mail address (can be an existing one, doesn't have to be a throwaway one) on a service that can forward mail, such as Gmail. Notifier.in gives you an e-mail address that you should forward your mail to, and an RSS link that uses security-through-obscurity to make it less likely that anyone else will read your RSS feed. In theory you may be able to subscribe to the Groups.io group directly using the RSS forwarding address, but I would not do that. To set up forwarding in Gmail, you need to type in a confirmation code that Gmail will send to the forwarding address, and you'll find that code in the first message in the RSS feed. What I did as a test is to set up a filter in Gmail that forwards only e-mails that come from my test group. However, if I were to do this long-term, I'd rather create a whole new Gmail address for this. The forwarding address looks something like this: gg8asdfasdfasdf84s8ss8o08sk4wkkssows@... and the RSS feed looks something like this: In my test, line breaks in the e-mails are stripped. I'm not sure if that is normal in RSS (could have something to do with the fact that my e-mails were plain text). Samuel |
Re: How can I add an image to show in the groups list?
Don,
When I read at the place where the icon is added "The group icon isIt is. I'm guessing now the word "mobile", must mean something else than INo, the wording is incomplete. It dates back to before there was a Feed page. Shal -- Help: /static/help More Help: /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki Even More Help: Search button at the top of Messages list |

To change the way an iPhone stores images go to Settings/Camera - Formats and change to Most Compatible (which means jpg). Larry On Wed, Nov 20, 2019 at 10:53 AM Duane <txpigeon@...> wrote: On Wed, Nov 20, 2019 at 09:35 AM, Ken Kloeber wrote: --
