David -- If your group is moderated but you feel you should be exempt, open your own member record and change your Posting Privilege from "Use Group Moderation Setting" to "Override: Not Moderated."

Check your moderation status. As I mentioned the other day, on some groups, including GMF, everyone is moderated. Even moderators and owners. As an owner, you can choose your own moderation status.
