I think they want to send a notification to all groups at once. Since you wouldn't reach the sub group by emailing just the main group it seems to me you'd have to include all addresses to send out

Kliebe, I stand corrected. I did some more testing to actually verify this and I confirm that even if editing messages for ordinary members is disabled, the option to delete posts is still available

In Premium groups, there is an option to look at Past Members. You can sort that list by the Reason field to get all the "SPAM left" folks and with some cut-and-paste (perhaps into a spreadsheet)

Since a person must be in the Main group to be in a subgroup, it seems that just emailing the main group would include all 4 (the main and the 3 subs). If you just want to email a couple of subgroups
