It would actually be better if they merged the accounts (into the 'new' one).? All posts and other things will be tied to the transferred email address, so if it's deleted, there won't be an owner

This is a common "problem"...lots of folks subscribed to Yahoo Groups with their Yahoo address over the years because you had to create a Yahoo account and get an email address anyway, so why not use

Premium groups #suggestion
i suggest that people add a hashtag #premium to queries about their groups. Some people may be confused when they read about ¡°direct add¡± or other features not available with the free service.?

If you have a Moderator in the Yahoo group with permissions to invite and promote members, then you don't necessarily need an Owner. So you might check into that option as well. I recently copied over
