If one were to implenent such a feature, one would want to give the proposed recipients a way to disable it. I, for one, try to limit my daily incoming unsolicited (non-spam) emails to less than ~200.

Hi, I'm looking for some advice on the best options to provide our group with "on this day in history" facts. For each day of the year we might have between four and six historic events that happened.

Are you talking about adding things to the group calendar? Or are they just sending an email announcing something? If you check the "Normalize HTML Emails" box in group settings, it will strip out
