I believe you can just change the status of the member to owner. If you select "moderator" you can select individual permissions but "owner" grants everything. An owner granted me ownership before he

What I usually do is send them a bounce probe and wait.? If they don't unbounce within a week or so, I remove them.? It doesn't hurt to leave them in the group, it just clutters things a bit.?
