If there are pending members the default view of admin/members shows those pending (presumably because you are expected to do something about them). Just click on the the 'pending' box and select

You're looking at something different than I am.? Those waiting for approval are on the Pending page.? The Members page has all members and can be searched. Duane

Sorry. Sloppy fingers. As I was saying.... I'd have thought ADMIN, MEMBERS would work but it only shows those members waiting for approval to join, not the whole group. That sounds like a bug. Norman

That will work, IF you have subgroups.? If not (or even if you do) you can go to Admin > Members to do the search, including a partial. Duane

The place to search all members is under ADMIN, SUBGROUPS. Hardly logical, but there it is.... Norman * Norman C. Berns * *Owner** - Film and Television Professiona

Maggie I don't think you are quite right with your reply. The Directory is not 'searchable' but the Members list under Admin is? Cheers Jack(;>J

Searching Members by Name and/or Email
#membership
There must be a way to search the full membership by name or email. Preferably both, but I can't find it. The Directory doesn't seem to be searchable. What (and where and how) am I missing...? Thanks,

How odd. I managed to approve messages correctly via email just a few days ago. Using my phone to do this, I saw the message that got approved end up on the list.. So so far it works over here, for

J, I think the search is only on the message body, not any of the header fields or other metadata. A field for filtering by email address (mods only?) and one for display name are clearly needed in

Re: how to find all posts by a past member?
J, Works for me with a member who joined and left the Groups.io group. Works also for me with a message that was posted in the group at Yahoo. That is, the More menu has the "All Posts By This Member"

Re: how to find all posts by a past member?
J, Doesn't the All messaged by this member, which is in the More drop down at the end of a message perform this for you? I just found I've posted over 700 times in our main group.? I'm rather shy. --

Re: how to find all posts by a past member?
I'll try the activity log, but I haven't had success with that in the past. Last time I tried to search by email address in the activity log, it was bringing up the entire log and I reported a bug.
