Dave, The way to get someday to arrive sooner is to post the request in beta, the official Groups.io suggestion box. No one from Groups.io monitors GMF so the request will go unheard if only discussed

If you already had the subgroup, just renaming the main group shouldn't do anything serious.? You may need to tweak a link in the Welcome message and you may want to change the Subject Tag in the
