export and/or print directory
I searched the messages and thought I had seen something about how to export (to word or excel) the membership list AND how to print it ALL at one time rather than page by page, but I can't find any posts related to the subject.? Can someone send me instructions on how to:
1. export the entire membership of my group to an excel or word document. 2. PRINT the entire membership all at once rather than just a page at a time. Thanks in advance. Harlan? hsteinle@... |

Hello Sharon, are you using Gmail by any chance on the groups where you are receiving two copies?

Transfer Yahoo Group
Has anyone had any problems recently with initiating a transfer? I've been trying for three days with no luck. I followed the guidance including starting a transfer and sending an invite to [email protected] to the Yahoo forum. I read the notice that it may take groups.io a day or two to respond to the invite but it has been three days now.

Re: Gmail apps alias unable to send
Sending this as littlejack@..., which should cause this email message to bounce, since I'm subscribed to this group as mbergen@....
?

Re: Gmail apps alias unable to send
No joy. I can't use this email address as an alias for littlejack@ since this email address is already on . I've added this address to our small group, and even when I post from my littlejack@ address, it shows on the list as having been sent from mbergen@.
?
I'm now starting to think that this is an issue with how gmail is handling sending from an alias.
?
Just to test, I'm going to send my next email to this group from my littlejack@ account, which should not go through.
?

With sampling skewed towards those members willing to jump through that hoop, I've found that the outcome of any poll is mostly untrustworthy.I am a bit concerned about that too; is logging in that much of a chore? Having said that the Poll I have set up was actually to determine (in very broad terms) how members access Groups.io. I had a public exchange of posts with one member who suggested a "dislike" of logging in (an odd word to choose IMO); he also suggested slow internet speeds at some locations, which while entirely possible still sounds rather feeble as an excuse for never logging in. Re: question abpout bouncing
Not sure what you mean by "send the automatical bouncing email".??
There is a "Send Bounce Probe" button at the bottom of the member page of a bouncing member which resends a message to see if the address is still bouncing (getting an error). Also see?/g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Help-Mock-up#Bounce-Handling Toby |

No. The hashtag was automatically created when I created the first poll.

Hi Chris,
I'm not sure if I'm the Marie you were talking about but thanks for this info. My members are having a hard time voting in the polls and are a bit confused with the move here. I know it's going to take them a bit but I am learning right along with you. Thanks again for your help, Marie Alline |

Addition to my question: I just saw that all the bounced ones have a yahoo-address.About a month ago, Yahoo email servers were having a lot of problems. So it may be related to that.? See also this from the GMF Wiki regarding Yahoo transfers: "It's not unusual for a significant fraction of YG members' email addresses to begin bouncing after the transfer is complete. Many of these will be members previously on "no email" or "special notices" who perhaps got a new email address some time ago and found it easier to change their message delivery instead of unsubscribing. How much effort you want to spend chasing down these inactive accounts is up to you." If it were me, I would manually send them all a bounce probe, just in case it's related to the server problem. If some of them unbounce themselves, fine. How much more effort you want to put into it is up to you, but if no one is actively complaining I suspect these folks aren't participating anyway. Hope this helps, Bruce |

Re: question abpout bouncing
If you click on the line listing a member in the bounced members display it will take you to their information. Once there you can click on "Activity History" to see when they were originally bounced. You can also click on "Email Delivery History" to see what the error message was.

Yahoo seems to be having trouble with their email system causing some to bounce. The error message I see from Yahoo addresses most often is "554 delivery error: dd Requested mail action aborted". I have no idea what that means. It doesn't really tell you if the address is no longer valid or if there is just some problem with the server. I generally wait, sending occasional bounce probes, until the addresses are Bounced, with a red B, and then try sending a email directly to the person. If that bounces as well I usually remove them from the email list. I'm not sure what to do about the Yahoo addresses though. If the problem is with the Yahoo system it may be that the problem will be fixed eventually. Jonathan On 4/17/2018 5:29 AM, Victoria wrote:
