When you send a meeting invite to your group, you will be sending a .ics file. Groups.io processes this, adds it to the calendar and sends the meeting invite to the members with a .ics file attachment.? As you have mentioned, this will automatically show in someone's Outlook calendar.? If you reckon nobody received a message, the first place I would check is the Activity Log for the group in question. It will tell you if Groups.io received the message from that member in the first place. If the message was received and processed as you expected, you should see the meeting details on the group calendar.? Note: a member sending a meeting invite to the group will need to have permission to add events to the calendar in order for Groups.io to do that.

If a member did not receive a message from Groups.io then the place to check is their Email Delivery History.? If Groups.io successfully delivered the message to the member's mail provider, Groups.io has done its job.? If message delivery has failed for some reason, the details will either be in the Unsuccessful Attempts section (and Groups.io will try again multiple times) or it will be in the Bounces section.

For a basic meeting, it shouldn't matter which way you do it.? If you want to create a meeting/event, limit numbers and have Groups.io manage a waitlist for you, then do it form the Groups.io site.

What if we want to keep anonymous the people that respond to that calendar invite?

Any member that has access to the calendar will be able to see who has responded (assuming it's an RSVP event).? If the email address entered in the Organiser Email field is a member of the group, they will have full control over the calendar event which includes being able to delete it.? It's not possible to have an RSVP event and keep the responses anonymous. If you define an RSVP event and define a question to ask for additional information, that response is only visible to Moderators and the event organiser.

I think "FWD" is removed for the same reason "Re:" is. You can petition for "FW" to be added to the list, if you want; just post a request in t. That's how all the "foreign-language" (I use that phrase with reluctance) reply indicators got added.

And sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough! The "FWD" was stripped from the main "topic", not as a reply to a message. So this was a brand new message on the group, started via the group's email address.

Interestingly enough, the "FWD" gets removed, but not the "FW". I was just curious to know if there's any reason for that, and if there are any words we should be aware of.

There are multiple reply indicators (Re: Ref: etc,) - in many languages - that get stripped routinely. Such changes to the subject line would only be noticeable to those receiving Individual Emails. In the message archive - and digests built from it - they simply get threaded into the existing topic, whose subject line was defined at topic creation.

Hello, we just stumbled upon a curiosity. In one of our subgroups, someone forwarded an email to the group email address. However the "FWD" from the title was stripped once it arrived on the platform.

We've tried again with "FW", and that didn't get removed.?

I did a web search for that wording and seems to me it's a lot of different sites that are selling coupons or codes for buying stuff from various different groups on groups IO.

Don't think it's the web site that's for sale just different stuff by different groups from what I saw.

I am using Edge as my browser on Windows 11. Yesterday morning, after successfully viewing my IO groups, all of a sudden I was getting this screen instead of a view of my groups:

Clicking on any of those lines does nothing. I am able to see other websites just fine. I switched to Chrome and I can access my groups just fine. Anyone know what happened? It's not just me. Another of my members using Edge is reporting the same thing. Strange that it didn't happen right after a Windows update. I've cleared my cookies and still not able to view my groups.?
